He was the first-born child to parents Atty. Juan N. Domingo (+) of San Antonio, Zambales and Remedios C. Coroña (+) of Dagupan City on December 25, 1955.
The proud "Juaning" one of the first two lawyers ever produced by his hometown, attached his name "Juan" and since it was Christmas Day; he gave the baby boy a second name "Jesus".
In Proj. 4, Quezon City; where Juan Jesus was born and raised, he was fondly called "Jesse".
In 1968, at the Pura V. Kalaw Elementary School graduation rites; "Juan" to his classmates, led his batch as valedictorian.
In high school, "Jess" went to the Philippine College of Commerce Laboratory High School in Lepanto and then in Sta. Mesa on full scholarship and graduated in 1972. It was here when he discovered and developed his leadership skills. He also worked as a library assistant after classes.
He wanted to be a lawyer like his father, but because it was already Martial Law then, he lost his interest and instead pursued a commerce degree. He went to night school at the University of the East and then back to the Philippine College of Commerce/Polytechnic University of the Philippines while he worked during the day.
In 1974, he was an Inventory Clerk at the Edward J. Nell Company in Makati. After 4 years of being familiarized with the Industrial products and supplies being distributed by the same company, he became a sales and marketing representative for "Ridgid" pipe working tools and equipment.
Four years after, he was offered a job for the same position with the Ridge Tool Co. of Elyria, Ohio, USA which set up its Philippine office in Makati.
Jess went to Ohio, Wisconsin and Chicago for an orientation visit of the manufacturing plants of the Emerson Electric Group of Companies.
He also worked for Yale Hardware specializing in tools and equipment for various industries. He switched to Industrial Chemicals Marketing with Westchem Industries, Sytengco Enterprises and now with Inpass Inc.
Jess married Flordeliza Abrantes while they were still in college (1977) and were blessed with four children: Jennifer (Ateneo graduate 1999), Jo-Anne (UP graduate 2002), Jane Paula (UP graduate 2004) and Florinda (PSBA graduate 2007). All of them are now working.
Jess joined Rotary as a charter member of the Rotary Club of Marikina Heights in 1999. He initiated the publication of the club's weekly bulletin "Kalatas" until he became president for the Rotary Year 2002-2003 with the theme "Sow the seeds of Love".
After serving beyond club level holding various district committee memberships and chairmanship, he is currently one of the assistant governors for Marikina Zone 4B: Marikina, West, Hilltop, River City, and San Mateo.
