Projects: Supporting Education
The main objective of a Rotary Club is service in community, nation and throughout the world. The Rotary Club of Marikina Heights has a legacy of service in these areas going back to its chartering year, 1999. These are:
Gamit Eskwela para sa Pag-asa

We all know that every child's dream is to finish school to have a business or good employment, or basically to make their lives better. The Rotary Club of Marikina Heights knows this, and with the difficulties that the pandemic brings, some of the community schools, one of them the Kapitan Moy Elementary School is having a hard time to teach students the lessons that they intend to give. This is the age of virtual classes and not all the students (or families) have an access to a gadget or internet, the school authorities thought of alternative ways of bringing lessons to the students, and that is printing out module hand-outs. With this, the Club donated boxes of paper supplies to be used for printing the modules and also personal protective equipment and disinfectant.
Happy, Healthy Fun Fair – Rotary Connects with Children

This project aims to teach 350 Grade 1 students of Marikina Elementary School of road safety, proper hygiene and maintaining good health in a way that they will enjoy. They were taught the proper procedures in the areas of hand washing, tooth brushing, grooming, crossing the road and teaching them the road signs, proper exercise and healthy meal to eat. Nutritious food was also served to the students. The Grade 1 students from a low-income neighborhood benefited in this project.

The Club provided support the 4-K (Kariton Klasrum Kantin Klinik) program in barangay Tumana. The Club provided a variety of school supplies to children enrolled in the program.

The Club provided support the 4-K (Kariton Klasrum Kantin Klinik) program in barangay Tumana. Tumana was chosen as the pilot for this project. This a project for out of school children. The Kariton serves as a mini-library. The open space is the Klasrum, The Kantin provides the children with supplementary food, the Klinik provides the needed medicines.
Career Guidance Seminar

Choosing a career is not a serious affair until the 4th year in high school. However, once students are done with high school, it is necessary to choose a definite career and decide a career goal. Choosing the right career option and keeping the market in mind is necessary. In addition to this, selecting the right educational institution is equally important. Unfortunately, not many students are able to discover their potentials and interests at the stage and it is when the pressure starts building, thus the desire of the RCMH Club to help students find the answers to these concerns through this seminar.
School Supply Donation

The Club donated school supplies for the children at the Barangay Marikina Heights Daycare Center which was ran by Sister Glenda for the children of the families that cannot afford to enroll their child in a regular educational school.
Installation of Computer Room

Under the able leadership of Visionary President Eduardo D. Mejos, the club initiated a Matching Grant for the installation and donation of computer room at the Kapitan Moy Elementary School in Marikina Heights.
